FitForge ("we", "our", or "us") operates the FitForge platform at app.fitforgetrainer.com. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and protect your personal information when you use our service.

2. Information We Collect

When you use FitForge, we may collect the following information:

  • - Account Information: Name, email address, and profile picture from your Google account when you sign in.
  • - Profile Information: Date of birth, gender, height, phone number, emergency contacts, health conditions, injuries, medications, and fitness goals (provided by you or your trainer).
  • - Fitness Data: Workout logs, exercise performance (sets, reps, weight, effort), body composition measurements, blood work results, supplement tracking, and progress photos.
  • - Communication Data: Messages sent between trainers and clients through the in-app chat, including text and images.
  • - Scheduling Data: Training session schedules, calendar entries, and attendance records.
  • - Payment Information: Subscription tier and billing status. Payment card details are processed securely by Stripe and are never stored on our servers.

3. How We Use Your Information

We use your information to:

  • - Provide and maintain the FitForge platform
  • - Connect trainers with their clients
  • - Track workout progress and body composition over time
  • - Enable communication between trainers and clients
  • - Process subscription payments
  • - Send notifications about messages and scheduled sessions

4. Data Sharing

We do not sell your personal data. Your information is shared only in these limited ways:

  • - Between Trainer and Client: Your trainer can see your fitness data, body composition, workout logs, and messages. Other trainers cannot see your data.
  • - Payment Processing: Stripe processes payments on our behalf. See Stripe's Privacy Policy.
  • - Authentication: Google provides authentication services. See Google's Privacy Policy.

5. Data Security

We take reasonable measures to protect your data:

  • - All data is transmitted over HTTPS (encrypted in transit)
  • - Passwords are hashed and never stored in plain text
  • - Authentication uses secure JWT tokens in httpOnly cookies
  • - Database is hosted on managed infrastructure with access controls

6. Your Rights & Deleting Your Data

You have the right to access, correct, and delete your personal data at any time.

How to Delete Your Data

As a client, you can delete all your data directly from the app:

  1. Log in to your FitForge account at app.fitforgetrainer.com
  2. Look at the bottom of the sidebar navigation
  3. Click "Delete my data"
  4. Confirm the deletion (you will be asked twice to confirm)
  5. All your data will be permanently deleted, including: workout logs, body composition entries, blood work, progress photos, supplements, scheduled sessions, chat messages, and your client profile

As a trainer, you can contact us at support@fitforgetrainer.com to request deletion of your account and all associated data.

Note: Data deletion is permanent and cannot be undone.

7. Cookies

FitForge uses essential cookies only:

  • - Authentication cookies: httpOnly cookies that keep you signed in. These are required for the app to function.
  • - Session storage: Temporary browser storage for navigation state (e.g., returning to the correct page after login).

We do not use tracking cookies, analytics cookies, or advertising cookies.

8. Data Retention

We retain your data for as long as your account is active. If you delete your data using the in-app tool, it is removed immediately and permanently. If a trainer cancels their subscription, client data remains accessible to clients until they choose to delete it.

9. Children's Privacy

FitForge is not intended for use by anyone under the age of 16. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 16.

10. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify users of significant changes by posting a notice on the platform. Continued use of FitForge after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
